Conductive/Non-Conductive SMT Embossed Carrier Tape for SMD Components
Introduction
Embossed carrier tapes are crafted from materials such as polystyrene, polycarbonate, and PET. These tapes come with varying conductive and anti-static properties to cater to different component applications. Each carrier tape features pockets that are precisely shaped to accommodate the contours of the components they are designed to carry. The width of these carrier tapes ranges from 8 to 104 mm, and we can also customize them according to specific customer requirements.

The whole packing reels including the carrier tape, cover tape and external reell, customers use the manual or automatic tape and reel machine to pick the components into the carrier tape, at the same time use the cover tape to cover the components tightly to protect and fix the components in the tape, at last packing to a whole reel.
Carrier tape size and it matched cover tape
Each carrier tape is complemented by a matching cover tape. During the component packaging process, the cover tape offers options for both cold sealing and hot sealing. Additionally, the cover tape is available with ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection. Below is a diagram that illustrates the dimensions of both the carrier tape and its corresponding cover tape.
